P. Robert Schwetschenau, MD, Neurosurgeon

Dr. P. Robert Schwetschenau is a highly skilled neurosurgeon, the most experienced neurosurgeon in our organization and, indeed, one of the most experienced in the entire Greater Cincinnati area. Dr. Schwetschenau is the current President of Riverhills Neuroscience, and a former President of the Ohio State Neurosurgical Society and of the Bethesda Hospital Medical Staff.

In addition to maintaining a very busy Neurosurgical Consultation and Surgery practice he has maintained a very active role in organizations and societies throughout his medical career including his current roles in the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, and the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati.

Dr. Schwetschenau is a frequent contributor to numerous publications and presentations. He is most proud of working in the area of transphenodial surgery with his son Eric, who is an E.N.T. surgeon.

He graduated from St. Xavier High School and went on to Xavier University, then graduated from St. Louis University Medical School.
