SpineAssist® is a specially-designed surgical guidance system from Mazor Robotics that enables surgeons to provide safer and more accurate spine surgeries. For patients, this means better clinical outcomes with less pain, fewer complications, and shorter recovery time. SpineAssist has been in daily use in leading hospitals with thousands of successful cases worldwide.

SpineAssist is used to treat patients suffering from chronic, debilitating back pain or limited range of motion caused by spinal deformities and degenerative conditions such as slipped vertebrae, scoliosis, and spinal nerve impingement (pinched nerves). To treat these conditions, surgeons use SpineAssist to assist in placing spinal implants in spinal fusions.

SpineAssist is transforming spine surgery by advancing surgical techniques from freehand method to state-of-the art, guided procedures. In conventional open surgery, large incisions are made to expose the underlying tissues and spine for the surgeon's field-of-view. Unlike open surgery, in minimally-invasive surgery (MIS), the surgeon makes small incisions and has a more limited field-of-view, which might hamper accuracy. The SpineAssist Surgical Guidance System overcomes these field-of-view limitations by pinpointing surgical tools to the exact anatomical location--without compromising accuracy, safety or increasing the length of surgery or radiation levels. With SpineAssist-guided MIS procedures, patients benefit from less pain, fewer complications, shorter recovery time, and less radiation exposure.
