Welcome to the Wellington Diagnostic Center, the Diagnostic Division of Riverhills Healthcare. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a very important diagnostic tool. It gives us detailed pictures of the inside of your body. It is usually a non-invasive test, however, some studies might require the injection of contrast material or dye. MRI utilizes a large magnet. It uses this magnet along with radio frequencies and very powerful computers to see inside your body without surgery.

Scheduling & Insurance Pre-Authorization Services
To schedule an MRI, you will need a doctor's order. Your doctor or a member of his/her staff should call the Wellington Diagnostic Center to set up a date and time for your exam. Most insurance policies cover MRI examinations and some require approval prior to the exam. We've taken on the challenge and cut through the red tape with our Benefit Coordination/ Pre-Certification service.

Headed by our coordination specialist with many years of experience, our service obtains the insurance approval for you. The insurance contracts change often, therefore, please contact us to make sure we are currently contracting with your carrier.

Please remember to bring your insurance card with you on your date of service. As a courtesy to our patients, our Center will file your insurance claims directly with your carrier for you.
